Any recommendations/experiences for a good stereo shop in the area(MA)? I'm looking to put new speakers in, and possibly a radar system...

Um... I think if you can find Route 9 (westbound) just over the Wellesley line in Natick (next to the Jiffy Lube) there is a car stereo place that does stuff like this.
I personally would be more inclined to run all the way in to Framingham to visit the Tweeter Etc store... but thats just me. |

rich's car tunes in (I think) waltham or thereabouts is amazing, but be prepared to pay for it. Tweeter and best buy kinda suck , but if you don't want to do it yourself (you will do better work than tweeter or best buy will, because you actually care about your car), they will at least get the job done quick and pretty cheap.

If you are in Wellesley, come into Boston/Allston. Brighton Ave by BU and the Comm ave intersection. Sound in Motion is prob the best around...They do work on EVERYTHING I saw them doing work on a late 80's Ferrari one time.

SiM is a really good shop and they know what they are doing... but they are costly... and well recommend the best systems money can buy

Check out Xtreme Performance. I know a couple members here have had them work on their cars.

There is a new place in W. Newton called AVI (Audio Video Intergrations). I got my custom fiberglass sub, speakers, amps, radio, neons, hidden radar mounted, alarm and remote start installed there. They did a great job there. I'll try and post some pics this weekend, but I highly recomend them their only 15 min from boston. Their phone number is 617-928-1188 audiovideointregration com

Thank you guys for the info. I went to Rich's before, and didn't really have a great experience. I'll probably check out AVI. They have some pretty nice setups on their website. Their website I think is audiovideointegration/net. Thank you guys for the input. motorcross weather is finally here

I had a really bad experience there, they drastically overcharged me and then refused to complete all of the work I paid for (dynamatting my entire trunk area). Also, they refuse to use anyone elses parts. With over a month's notice planning my install appointment, they were "out" of the Head Unit and wubwoofer I ordered over a month in advance, took the whole car apart, and then pressured me into buying more expensive components than I had originally ordered (We can't get an Alpine 9831, your car is in pieces, all we have is the 9833, pay us the $100 extra or we won't do the work and you're out two days of your car, etc). Sketchy sketchy sketchy. |

Morally Bass you should go to AVI they didn't preasure me into buying anything I didn't want to. Go speak to Saffi he was really helpful in helping me find what I needed. Still trying to find out how to post pics but I'll put some up soon.
