Cool Safe Drives (merged thread)

Picked up a set of PIAA Ion's from them a little while ago, turns out one of them had a factory defect. PM'd Safe Drives, and they took care of me real well. Very friendly and very responsive. They sent me out a replacement part, paid for shipping back. Excellent people.

These guys rock =)

Ordered my Hella Supertones today from them and had a bit of a credit card issue with the online ordering. Called them up got it taken care of; however, I got a call back a few mins later verifying that we got the issue worked out as to make sure there was no delay in the order process.. Gotta love dedicated sales persons =)

I also asked about painting the grille on the pair as I want to change the color from Red to.. well it's a surprise.. As soon as the horn comes in and I have my painting project complete I'll post pics and then pics of the install..

Buy stuff from this place.. or else

Just wanted to put in my vote for using Safe Drives. Charles is a great guy, really quick to respond to phone calls or PM's/emails. I've had three orders with them so far and with really good results each time. I would highly reccomend using them for anything Hella/Piaa related without a doubt.

If they don't have it on their website call them up and they'll make sure they can get it to you. That's a nice touch in my mind.

I ordered some Supertones very late in the day on a Tuesday, they were waiting on my front porch when I got home on Friday.

Just bought a G-Force Hybrid helmet from SafeDrives - great experience (they helped me get the right size, because I was between sizes), and it got here just in time for my trackday this weekend. Thanks, SafeDrives!

Safe Drives rules!!! Bought my roll cage from them and they answered all my questions and made sure I bought the correct cage for my car. I highly recommend Safe Drives to everyone.

Figured I would bump this rather than starting something new. I believe that this vendor has disappeared. I ordered a seat from their website on sunday night. It is now thursday and I have received no shipping information. Their info@safedrives email comes back as undeliverable. cburen@safedrives does not get answered. I have called at least 15 times over the past few days with no answer, and I have left a few messages and have not received a call back. Planning to issue a chargeback tomorrow if I don't hear from them. It looks like I am not the only person with this issue.

Does anyone know the vendor personally that could get in touch with him? They had a great reputation (they answered my email relatively quickly about 4 months ago when I had a question about a product).

I filed a chargeback today. Within 2 minutes of filing (no exaggeration), I received a call from the vendor apologizing for the delay-- stated that personal and technical issues prevented communication. I was advised that he could not fulfill the order, stated that he was going to issue me a refund.

I truly believe that the vendor has the best intentions based on a long long history of happy customers. I understand that running a business on your own can be difficult if something bad happens in your personal life. Please CALL to order until he gets his **** worked out.

I am no longer being nice. I have not received my refund yet and this next thing pissed me off. Myself and someone else had posted on the Safedrives Facebook page about placing orders and having zero communication with the vendor after many days. Rather than responding to this, safedrives deleted the comments from their facebook.

I no longer recommend doing business with them. They have time to monitor their facebook comments but no time to have any correspondence with paying customers-- then they cancel the order when they are forced to communicate after the customer files a chargeback. Sad to see one of the more reputable businesses failing.
