Wink Gary's "NA" RS

So we were headed down Hampden, I was driving his car and he was driving mine. He wanted me to try it (his intake) and to compare it with my Ganzflow. I was too ***** to go over 85-90 in the thing and he actually pulled over to say what was up! I said that I didn't want a ticket and the thing scared me..

His car does seem to pull harder than mine at most revs, especially at higher speeds (DUH!). How much more, I don't know, it's not a whole lot but it feels like something is there. I'm not knocking on the Ganzflow either, as it is currently I believe the champ of intakes for the 2000+, but we shall see if it remains tops... HAHA Just Kiddin Larry... The sound Gary's Intake is just AWESOME, but could get you in trouble.
I gunned it in neutral under an overpass a few times..

As far as water getting in the intake, at first even I was hesitant but the air inlet is WAY under the hood scoop. It would take a lucky big shot of water to do any damage. Gary has driven it through downpours, taken it to the car wash and ran it under a sprinkler with no ill effects. However, I know Gary is looking for other possibilites to deal with the water issue.

What we were going for last night is some hard numbers at Bandimere. Unfortunetly, they were having NHRA nationals and didn't let us in. I told Gary he has to try and use his intake for a run and then the Ganzflow and maybe even stock to get some hard numbers.

A direct, hard comparison between his and my car is too unfair to base hard numbers or evidence on. He has his intake, exhuast, torque chip, and fuel pump. All I have is a Ganzflow and a Stromung. So, as Gary says "Prepare the Sacrificial VTEC", and he will get some hard numbers one of these days....

We had some fun last night with a Stang and almost a Mercedes except he didn't see the cop we saw and I'm sure it turned out to be a bad time for him.

Overall, Gary still FIRMLY believes that the RS has immense potential N/A, and I do too, BUT I STILL WANT A TURBO!!

JJ
