Default Good news for the Baja's future?

This link is the back side of that other SOA emissions-related 2006 link that was recently posted here in another thread.

What's interesting is that, according to this sheet, there will be a 2007 & 2008 Baja.

we need to find someone who works near or at the assembly plant to see if they are tooling for a body change or going to continue with this generation Baja.

The justification to continue building it must be hard at 300-500 units per month; unless the profit margin on the Baja is *that* good because the parts have been in production for 5 or so years (2-3 for the rear Baja stuff)

No, I can't see the current model survive beyond MY06. My guess is the MY07/08 Baja will still be Outback-based, but on the current model, and perhaps beefed up with Tribeca stuff where needed, such as suspension, and so forth.

I am hoping (praying!) that it will come with a locking, roll-top-like retractable hard bed cover as standard. Confused? Look at the center console cupholder cover found on the new Legacys and Outbacks, then imagine that same concept, but scaled up to fit the bed.

A feature like that would be a HUGE selling point, and would be an excellent response to the much-praised Ridgeline in-bed trunk. Subaru, IMO, desperately needs this feature, so that it will appeal to a much wider audience.
