This probably won't help but my "liquid" sound is from the front and only happens when it is very cold. I never brought it up because I thought I was crazy. It would be interesting to finally know what it is

Its gonna be your gas tank, its louder than on other vehicles in the bajas, I can hear it in mine clearly and it sounds like in the center of the car.

Here is someone who possibly experienced the same issue:

There is no conclusion to this thread, so I do not know what the result was - but SOA was involved, it looks like. Good luck!

wow, very good find. i also think it has something to do with the gas tank. my swishing sound was the loudest wheni had a full tank of gas. now i'm down to a half tank and it's not nearly as loud but defently still there. i hope this is not going to be a serious issue for this car, hopefully just one of those annoying things you kinda just deal with.

Not the gas tank IMHO.
I get it too, but mine is after it rains, or when I wash the car (for a long time). It's like a drain is plugged up or something. Mine sounds more like the left rear door, but it could be close to the bed. Similar problem on a 76 SS El Camino. One I unstopped the plugs (at the bottom of the door), it drained and I never heard it again. I had a shift kit on the car, and it drove me nuts when the car jerked second, and I heard "swish swish." Very hard to be cool with 400hp, 3in exhaust, and a swish swish sound. LOL

I heard a similar sound coming from the rear. After a little investigation I found that one of my kids put a half empty bottle of water in the back seat console and that was the source of the sloshing noise.

Good luck finding your issue!

I wonder if it could be water under the bed liner? I don't have the noise but I also have the snuglid so it keeps the bed dry.
