Local prices for Timing Belt on 02 wrx

Anyone else hit this mileage (90k) and shopped out prices for timing belt replacement? I have one price from Gillman North. Thanks for any help. Houston area. Feel free to pm me if you want.

I just got a coupon from SOD for timing belt replacement. 279.00 including parts and labor.

Oh my. Thats a damn good price. I was hearing closer to 500. When I heard that, it was time to shop around.

get the STI timing belt of you do. it is suppose to be thicker and stronger

While I am sure they can do it, I am going with a Subaru Tech on this item. I dealt with SGP way back, when they were still in Pasadena. I have looked at the PE timing belt and the STI one. My thinking process is that my original one lasted just fine, with mods from the first 10k miles and beyond.
