Yellow (of course)

Default LONG roadtrip with the Baja!

Did awesome...went from WNY to E. PA (saw another yellow near syracuse on the thruway headed west). Then on to Fayetteville NC (saw another yellow headed north somewhere in Delaware). Finally down to Orlando from NC. Saw another yeller on the way, cant remember where. Met up with our extended family-the Yellow Mustang Registry. The scooby got to run around for a few days with about 40-70 yellow Mustangs (depending on the day!). Also drove on Daytona Beach (got stopped a few times there...man, it looks as at home on the sand as in the snow!!). Headed home from Orlando last sunday, with an over night stop over in Winston salem NC. Saw a Silver Baja at a rest stop right inside Georgia....

All said, great trip-somewhere around 3,000 miles (oil change in FL!)....My only complaint-the brakes SUCK. Upgrading them is on our short list, that's for sure!

Sounds like you had a good trip. Just a couple of questions, if you please?
1. I know you have a NA model, how was your mileage?
2. What's up with the brakes? I hope they are not THAT bad!
3. Did you get a good reception from the Mustanger's?
Enquiering minds what to know!
Keep it under, aw you know the drill!

1) best was @29 on the way down, with the soft top on, but a Mustang hood sticking out the back a little (about 2-3")
2) didn't stop quick enough, pulsation after a few quick stops in traffic
3) definately, they are like our extended family, I've been a YMR member for about 3 years now-they also know we couldn't make it with our yellow (73 mach, in pieces for resto right now)
4) um, no.....but it does shift @ 95mph

Yellow w/ 220,000 miles

Me and my wife in our Yellow Baja drive out to MN from NJ every year, possibly twice this year. Its a 3000 miles round trip. We usually come back with about 3300 miles toal with misc driving in between. Baja has never failed us once! Brakes are fine on ours, not as powerful as the WRX (less weight same size brakes) but more than adequate.
