Status was changed to "Shipping" today. It took a bit of time, but I'm not really complaining.

Agreed. I placed an order last month and it probably took aver a week to process. I placed another order a few days ago and haven't heard anything. We get a discount at my local Subaru, so I'll probably start getting all my parts locally now.

Unfortunately, it looks like that is what I will need to do as well. It's a shame since I spent plenty of money with SGP over the years but frankly, I don't want the hassle these folks have been going through. I never liked the fact that they lacked flexibility/openness with ways to contact them but when Jamie was at the helm, my e-mails, PM's and posts were always answered. I never had to worry about my orders and I was only inconvenienced once on a misship that she immediately straightened out.

Two months to get their communication and overall act straight (or replace the current group with folks who know how to run an online store) is more than enough time. ....it's not as if they were being asked to reinvent the wheel.

I called and all I get is the opportunity to leave a message which I have done yesterday and today. Last time I called and said if it is not shipped today cancel the order. I found a dealer in CT that is close in pricing and will use them instead as they at least answer the phone and emails.

Does anyone know if this SGP shipping policy existed before the change up or not (orders $200 or greater will be shipped out signature required)? I believe this is a new procedure.
None of my prior orders were shipped in this way, regardless of value. Since most of us work for a living, it is not prudent to take off work to meet the UPS guy or leave early go to the UPS depot for pickup. It does not appear that I can request that they do not ship it in this way.
Sadly this alone kind of makes SGP a no-go for me to continue with. Now add in the weird communication issues on to of that. Although I really doubt Kris is the cause of this shift in SPG service. I expect that Kris is dealing with a change in Chaplin's process/procedures and trying to keep up as best possible.

Another tail of "WTF?"

Same experience as everyone else. I've ordered plenty of parts from SGP over the years and didn't think twice when ordering some recently. What a change for the worse. Order on July 3rd only moved to "Processing" on July 12th. A second order that I made on the 7th for a couple of extra bits hasn't budged.

I'm in CA and back in the day the experience was emails answered within a couple of hours, and parts within 2-3 days from order, ground shipped. Always a heads up for any delay.

It's a bit sad when a business skips straight from the 4/5 star bracket down to 1.

Yeah I'm done with Subaru Genuine Parts......

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2205603

CLIFFS:
Ordered an STI shift boot on 6/10, didn't change status to "processing" until 6/20, three emails and two Nasioc PMs asking about my order and no response. Order finally arrives 6/29. Finally got a reply from Kris after posting on their Facebook page. Still took 19 days to get a part.

Waiting a week to have it processed now. They're successfully killing their business in this dept. It will be my last order with them. Our local club discount is comparable.

Has anyone actually gotten any responses via email in the past few weeks?

Quote directly from the "contact" page on subarugenuineparts.com:
Quote:
Please email customer service or sales for contact information for urgent needs. Phone number will be provided to those with pressing issues. All other inquiries should be handled via email.
It's ridiculous that a company that says all issues are to be handled by email but are having such an issue that NOBODY is receiving an answer. Completely ridiculous. Kris is destroying everything that Jamie built up. Their Facebook page is also filled with upset customers asking where their parts are too!

I guess all we can do it never order from them again. Just a bummer how quickly SGP went downhill after Jamie left.....

I've been searching around for new places to order and it looks like my local dealership is offering very similar pricing to what SGP's is offering. I've always had a good experience when i went in there to purchase parts, so i can only assume their online ordering would be good also. I'm going to try ordering from there next time and they actually list their phone number unlike SGP lol

Update: I sent them an e-mail via their website today and got a pretty quick response. The person said they don't know how they skipped over it and some of the parts were out of stock. They also said they would overnight them from Subaru and have them out to me tomorrow.

Hopefully they stick to that as I have a 20G needing to go in and some of the parts I ordered are a must.

If you haven't tried e-mailing them, give it a shot...

^^If you read my thread in the NWIC, I count about 4 emails in my outbox, along with 3 or so Nasioc PMs that went unanswered.

These guys are a bunch of crooks. Told me over PM to place order from their website. For over 1 month, they did not respond to my emails or PM until today. Still in "processing status"

Here's the best part. They finally contacted me today saying they haven't shipped my order because they're out of stock on "fasteners!" ---They held off on my entire order over little fasteners that they could've shipped later. How much will it cost to ship plastic fasteners? $1? I guess they rather have subpar service to save $1.

Buyer beware!

UPDATE: Working with Kris to resolve all issues. He said he shipped out my order at a loss as of this morning.

I had good luck recently with subaruwrxparts.com. Responsive and quick shipping, more like SGP from the old days. Only done the one order with them so count it for what you will.

My order shipped out yesterday as well. My previous order was held up due to out of stock parts.

I'm glad it's all been shipped, but I'll have to look elsewhere from now on as I generally needed a part I ordered the day before I ordered it.
