Default Air Fuel Ratio Gauge Install Up Online

Not exactly a powertrain item, but I put up an install page on a column mounted Air Fuel Ratio gauge just now- the pinouts for all the RS models are there (well 98 is the only one different from 99 to 01). I never knew how often the ECU corrects A/F ratios until you see it happen right in front of you . Before anyone asks, the empty pod is for the EGT gauge which still has yet to arrive...

Doesn't that autometer guage work only with the 2nd O2 sensor (0-1 volts). As opposed to the 1st O2 sensor (0-5 volts). I'm getting the same 2 guages you are and I want to make sure that I need the aftermarket 02 sensor and an exhaust bung before the first cat.

Thanks

It does work off of the second O2 sensor- the EGT will give you a sense of what just happened in the engine, while the O2 will give you an idea of what is going on overall... an EGT and an A/F gauge are great tuning tools . You don't need an additional O2 sensor and bung.

You can get it for ~$60 to $65 from places like www.carparts.com or www.summitracing.com

How is the accuracy of the gauge since the sensor is behind a cat?

Oh yes, I know I'm a psycho Korey- you knew that though . From here, the suspension will be finished with the STi lower rear control arms and lateral links. The exhaust is on the way, and the brakes are looking for some 4 pots. The interior wants a set of STi seats, and then it's just waiting for 60k to hit for the car to get a new engine and tranny . This is how it's looking now:

More pictures here: http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...threadid=74078

It's been a long planned route to take care of making the car handle and stop well enough before anything is done to make it go too fast .
