Default What causes fluttering?

I am just wondering if anyone here knows what causes flutter. My major mods are the APS cai, sr55, dr725 and 3" tbe w/cat delete, along with all supporting mods (injectors, fuel pump, ECUTek). The fluttering started after the dr725 was installed. At partial throttle in 4th, 5th or 6th, while maintaining a speed, the car flutters very bad and the whole car shakes. I had the WORX bov and had a few people tell me that was the reason. I changed it to an APS bov and it still flutters badly. I plan on taking it back to my tuner (DynoComp) probably next week but I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this. Thanks in advance for any input. This is on an 04 STi.

Moderators, if this doesn't belong here, please move to correct forum.

hrm. when i got the aps dr500, i had bad flutter with the worx bov. then i switched to the stock bov...and it still fluttered...so then i got the aps bov, and no flutter.

maybe you have to adjust your bov? maybe its set a little too tight.

too tight? you removed washers, or unscrewed the adjuster to fix your flutter?

Ill give it a try. I always figured that the flutter was a result of not enough tension and that increasing it, would prevent the part thottle flutter.

Woa... I guess the "back" function of WAP.nasioc.com should be avoided. I had no idea it was re-posting.
