I am just wondering if anyone here knows what causes flutter. My major mods are the APS cai, sr55, dr725 and 3" tbe w/cat delete, along with all supporting mods (injectors, fuel pump, ECUTek). The fluttering started after the dr725 was installed. At partial throttle in 4th, 5th or 6th, while maintaining a speed, the car flutters very bad and the whole car shakes. I had the WORX bov and had a few people tell me that was the reason. I changed it to an APS bov and it still flutters badly. I plan on taking it back to my tuner (DynoComp) probably next week but I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this. Thanks in advance for any input. This is on an 04 STi.

hrm. when i got the aps dr500, i had bad flutter with the worx bov. then i switched to the stock bov...and it still fluttered...so then i got the aps bov, and no flutter.
maybe you have to adjust your bov? maybe its set a little too tight. |

too tight? you removed washers, or unscrewed the adjuster to fix your flutter?

Ill give it a try. I always figured that the flutter was a result of not enough tension and that increasing it, would prevent the part thottle flutter. |

Woa... I guess the "back" function of WAP.nasioc.com should be avoided. I had no idea it was re-posting.
