Default on the verge of making a purchase, opinions and comments pz

will purchase a 2005 impreza wrx sti within the next 3 days.

right now the best offer is from marin subaru (im located in the san francisco bay area), 500 under invoice, for the price of 30,180 +tax/fees.

every other dealership within 100 miles is asking for at least 1000 more, the only other competitived priced is stevens creek, but after reading through this site, their reputation makes me uneasy about making a purchase through them.

p.s. marin also have around the bay area, one of the lowest sales tax, at 7.25%, this will ultimately save roughly 300-350 dollars.

so plz, this is a big purchase, any comments, opinions, regarding the car or the sale is welcomed.

What options? What color?

I guess it really doesn't matter. If you're getting for $500 under INVOICE (edmunds or kbb, I presume), then pull the trigger and be happy! A month ago I was having troubles finding anywhere that was even below MSRP!

Congrats!

Oh BTW, I think (of course I could be wrong) sales tax is applied based on the address you will be registering the car NOT on where you buy the car.

Yup. Your local government tries to stick it you. They charge whatever the city of your residence charges you.

If you are willing to go up to roseville, Autowest Mazda and Subaru will give you a hell of a deal if they have your color in stock. Make sure you talk to Eric the Internet Manager.
