Default Baja Project Begins

Last night my friend and I began performance work on my 04 Baja Turbo. The first upgrades included Cold Air Intake with K&N Filter, Borla Ceramic Coated Header, and HUGE JDM STi Top Mount. We had planned to take uppipe off and gut it, but it was too hard to get to at the time. The total install time for all parts was approximately 5 hours. You could definately feel the additional torque from the header, and could hear the turbo and blow off valve much clearer with the intake. After a long night of work and barely any sleep we went to an exhaust specialist in the morning. I had my turboxs downpipe installed, along with a custom 3" catback exhaust, a 3" highflow cat, and a magnaflow muffler. I had all the exhaust work done by Mufflex in New Jersey. I would definately recommend them to anyone in the Jersey area who is looking to customize their exhaust. After all mods the Baja looks and sounds great. Im estimating that the power gains are between 25-40 whp. I plan on installing a transmission cooler tomorrow and attempting to gut the upipe early next week. The next step after that will be a fuel pump and reflash and then ill hopefully have some impressive dyno numbers to put up.

Cool

Best of luck. You're tackling a few projects all at once. The hard work will be worth it I'm sure.

Default Injectors?

Im actually planning on having the injectors dremeled before the reflash. I will try to have pictures up by next week of all the installs and hopefully a sound clip of the exhaust too.

Default Reflash/Turbo upgrade

I finally got in touch with my tuner, and after a long convo I've decided to upgrade to a VF-22. Along with this I will be upgrading the fuel system(pump and injectors). With these upgrades and all of the supporting mods I already have my tuner at Ralispec has estimated 340whp and about 380torque. Unfortunately scheduling is done 6 weeks in advance so the final product wont be ready for about 2 months. Ill keep everyone posted.
