Question Is there a way to put the gauges from an STI in a 03 RS?

Has anyone done this before? Is it possible? I am talking about the speedometer/tackometer gauges.
I really like the look!

Jonathan

Yea, I would like to do the same thing with my '05. I dont know if they are just plug and play. I know the STI comes with a temp. output. Well, let me know if you find out if it is possible.

Yes it can be done, and there are many threads on the subject.

Yea, I want to do this too. I just want the "beep beep beep"

I guess I'll search later...

Geoff

Edit: searched and it looks like there are NO threads on the subject of swapping an STi cluster into a GD RS. A few about swapping JDM clusters into GC8 RSs, but that doesn't help us much.

If I'm wrong and their are threads about this, please link us.

Thanks

I called subaruwrxparts.com today (they have the STi cluster in the RS section) and they said it was plug and play for us too. I'm a little skeptical though....I'll see if I can find someone with a WRX or STi who will let me swap their cluster for testing purposes.

will a newer STi Cluster go into an older RS? I really like the look of them and wouldn't mind putting them in my 98

From what I read, certain JDM STi clusters are plug and play into different year GCs. I forget which ones plug into which ones though. I think yours would use the v3 cluster...but don't quote me on that.

all you need to know is that

1) all the information you're looking for can be found using the search function. it's always better to search than post.

2) it can be done but it's not plug and play

3) doing so will permenently void ALL of your warrenty, if you're still under warrenty.

A 2004 STI CLuster is plug'n play onto my 2003 Impreza RS sedan.
Damn! It looks really really bright.
You know u have to cut 1 wire(B28), R.Diff Temp and DCCD lights on, right?
And it reads speed a little bit faster(+1or2mph) than your original one. i think it is because STI have 160mph and i have 120 or WRX has 140mph, so looks like STI cluster hard to define what is 77 or 78 mph, you know what i mean??

Don't know who did it. But I am sure this 2004 STI cluster can work on 02-03RS,TS, or outback.

I will post pictures if you want. But i would like to know how i can post the picture to NASOC directly from somewhere.

How can you fix if the R.diff temp and DCCD lights on?

Which pin you have to put resistors into for the R.diff and DCCD? 2.2k ohm ok?
