Just have to say this car is awsome. Ohh yeah by the way i bought a hood scoop form a 02 wrx. Has anyone ever put one on a rs before if so maybe you could help thanks guys.

i think your car sounds pretty normal to me, i think that youll either have to cut a hole in your hood or find a wrx hood to install that scoop, you might wanna find someone with a wrx or sti that has a fmic and they might swap you hoods. damon

wrong section.

but yes that is normal the 2.5RS has really low gearing to make up for the less horsepower. we have 4.11 final drives.

Hey guys i didnt buy the whole hood but i was told at my subaru dealership that the wrx hood would not fit on my car. The deal said my best bet would be to bolt the scoop to the top.

that is a norman rpm range for a rs on the highway, might as well buy a new hood it would be way less money than installing the scoop in a stock rs hood... this should be in the N/A forums.... good luck, and welcome...

From now on, don't ever listen to anything the dealer tells you about your car. Anyone who says obviously donesn't know a thing about cars.

Oh, and you should be posting this in the NA forums.
