I currently have a K&N short ram intake and I have a utec, bosal cat back and invidia dp on the way.
With the intake and tbe what boost and af should I run. I was thinking about 18 psi and around 11:1 - 11.5:1 af. Does this sound safe? Also, what kind of gains should I get with this. Thanks

depends how you drive. If your hammering it all the time better get into the 10's.

ok... I will probably do 10.9:1 or 10.8:1 and about 18psi.
How much does the timing have to be changed to run 18 pounds and around that af? |

A delta dash would tell you exactly where in the map and how much to alter it.

What kinda car do you have? What are you using to monitor your a/f ratio? Do you have an egt gauge? How about a boost gauge? What altitude are you driving at most of the time?

octane? I'll assume 93-94 so I'd run 10.8 or richer. If you are on the stock turbo, you can run 18lbs, but you're getting outside the efficiency range and the amount of air you are pushing wont change much. A K&N is nice and all...but it doesnt do anything.
stay conservative -- a few horsepower isnt worth it imo. A new turbo / intercooler would really make a huge difference. Rob |

before you go cranking up the boost, get those cats out of there and uncork the muffler. for street driving, low-11's:1 suits me just fine.
