Default Website or Forum with Expert I/C Info?

I posted in turbo forum as well. Sorry for the redundancy - just trying to get to a forum that will have some real live technical info.

I'm trying to weigh the pro's and con's of TMIC vs. FMIC. FMIC on my 2.5 will be a complete custom job - no bumper available for fmic and no typcial fmic used. The expense for a custom installed fmic will be around $2K.

I currently run an STi tmic. I found a really good deal on a brand new APS 375 TMIC - $480. I've tried to find some comparative info in this forum but assume most of the performance related Q&A is related to bolt-on. Clearly an fmic is better, but what I'm trying figure out is if there is any worthwhile advantage/performance increase/efficiency to swapping the STi for APS tmic.

Can anyone direct me to a source that could give me a technical perspective?

Thanks!

Best,

i inquired about the aps tmic directly to aps about a month ago. I own a 2005 sti. they told me that an aps tmic would be a waste of money because the stock sti tmic is nearly what the aps is as far as performance. i am installing a aps D/R 725 next week.

hope that helps
