Road trip: What to do between NH and PA

So I am flying up to Belmont, NH to pick up my WRX wagon on friday evening. I have the whole weekend to do what I want with, don't need to be anywhere until monday morning at 8am, in central PA. I may or may not be bringing the fiance. What should I do?

Should I take the long way home via Canada? Should I stop off in Boston? Should I check out Maine? Or should I just be a tool and drive right home? It's a weekend with a new car and nowhere to be, I'd like to make best use of it.

You'll want to spend some quality time in Newark, NJ. Also be sure to stop in Altoona, PA.

Altoona is 1.5 hours southwest of me, and it's a craphole. A junior Newark, NJ if you will.
