Default My RS is being sold...again

I guess it was about a year ago now that I sold my 2000 2.5RS. Too make a long story short I had plans on this Swiss education, the insurance was killing me, and it was time to move on to something considerably cheaper to deal with.

I sold the car for $5K. Yes...that is an absolute friggen steal. Granted it had been in an accident, but it was repaired completely (another long story).

Now the kid who bought it is selling it.

I just got a random email from someone interested in it who dug up my old posts...I guess the current owner has been in a couple accidents and the car is not very happy...and he wants $9-10K for it. Ouch.

So...OT....should I sabotoge the deal or be a friendly helper...or something inbetween?

I'd stay out of it. But what you sold it for has little to do with it's current value. It's either worth what the kid is asking, to the prospective buyer, or it's not. The kid could have bought it from you for $200, and his selling price still wouldn't reflect on what he paid for it.

I vote for complete honesty. Whatever the buyers ask, I'll answer.

And yeah the current price has no bearing on the prior price...but still, I doubt it's worth that much if it has been that banged up.

Damn good point. Honesty is the only course of action here.

That email made me a bit sad. I miss that machine. The GL-10 simply does not compare performance wise.

I'd turn your head and walk the other way. No need to get involved. If he wants 9-10 for it, so be it. I wouldnt offer any help, stonewall they guy.

I say if someone emails you questions, answer them. But I wouldnt go sabotage his thread or anything. But if he is selling it on nasioc.com and he specifically says it hasnt been in any accidents, I would contact a MOD cus thats a little ****ed up.

Yes I am...got my ticket to Paris a week or so ago I leave here July 13th and won't be back in the states (if all goes according to plan) for at least 2 years.

I answered the guys questions honestly with no BS. But I'm not going to get into a lengthy reply-reply session with any emailers about this.

Yes, and painfully so

It still had that Borla can on it too You remember that exhaust? When I had the Borla headers it sounded AWESOME. The MRT's never quite did it justice.
