Default new 2.5 shaking when idling?!>

i just got my new car for 3 days.. and i already notice some shaking when my car is idling.... these things should happen to an old car right.. but i just got my car for 3 days... i m wondering what's happening.... should i check it up at the dealers?.. or wait for the check up at the break in point?..

No, just wait on it. My wrx does the same thing. The speed of the engine is oscillating, and when the revs get low your car will shake (just like it does before you stall, if you do). I don't know why they do this, but it's normal. If it's still doing it A LOT after a thousand or so miles, then I'd take it to a dealer, but if it's not excessive, it's normal.

I had a similar question a long time ago. I was told it is from the boxer design of the engine. The pistons move inboard and outboard, as opposed to up and down with any other engine. The in and out movement is what produces the "rumble" feeling while sitting at idle. Someone chime in here if I am wrong.
