Default Maximum tire size for Rota 17" SDR wheels

OK, I have this dilema i read a lot of threads saying that 225/40/R17 was the max for the wheels....but then i saw 235/45/r17 will fit like a glove...

I need some help here thanx....

215/45/17 is recommended (looks like u have an 01 RS)

that will also work for a wrx wagon.

225/45/17 for a sedan wrx, STI '04

What width are the rims? That's usually the biggest judge for what will fit, other than what will fit under your fenders.

width is 7.5", so i wanted to know what is the maximum size tire for these rims.

I forgot to mention the width before, sorry

Yeah 7.5" I think your maximum will be the 235/45s. Whether or not those will fit in the GC8 wheel wells is the question.

225/45 MIGHT fit in the wheel wells and would be a better tire choice. (wider is better )

But, it's probably best to play it safe and go 215/45. I had 215s on my first aftermarket wheels when I got them (they were 17x7) and they weren't too bad.
