Default Turbo back exhaust and AccessPort Stage 2

I have an 05 STi I have just started modding. I just did a Bosal divorced downpipe into MillTek high flow catted lower cat section MillTek cat-back exhaust. From my understanding pretty much all the 3" straight through exhausts flow about the same. Am planning to install the K&N typhoon and load AccessPort Stage 2 map.

Does this sound Kosher to those who know, or are there other options I should consider?

if you want to know if you can use a Access Port stage 2 with the exhaust then yes you can.

I have been told this will work, yes. What I am really interested to hear from those who really know thier information, is should I consider something other than an AP (UTEX, XEDE, EcuTek, etc.)

Do you plan on modding past that point? (is the first question anyone that will know the answer to your question should ask you)

Yo.. Ive got my 05 STi running a Helix Catted 3" DP and Borla 3" Exhaust with a K&N Typhoon. I am also running the AP Stage 2. I think it is great. I highly reccomend it.

I say go with it!

Well my take on the situation is as follows: currently this is my daily driver, so I need something fast enough to not bore me, but reliability is critical. For the foreseeable future, all that will be done to that car is the exhaust, intake and EM on stock turbo. If I still have the car in say, 2 years, and want to really play with it, then I'll pull the motor out, build it the right way, slap on a GT30R and all the supporting mods, and have a real fun toy

The fact that I dont plan to go further than what is described above is what makes the AP so attractive in my book. Considering that one can sell a used AP and get back 80% of its cost is another attractive point.

Get the ap. When you get your GT, upgrade to the street tuner, and like you said, have a real toy

I would suggest At least an EGT gauge if you plan on putting on an intake.

I use the street tuner now, and used the AP for 8 months before... cobb's EM is a good way to go.

AP ordered today After much debate, I am going to try the stock airbox mod first and see how that works.

Why do you only suggest an EGT guage if changing the intake? I plan on doing Defi BF's in the near future (boost, EGT, oil temp) anyway but just curious on your thought process.
