Angry Bratfiles part 1B contd.

WELL! here we go again...
let me say happy bday today to my wife..!!! last night sunday we went out to cruise and talk to our tuner friends and all was well. when... we went to a new spot and the cops rolled through i mean like bats out of hell! blocked off the parking lot we were parked in and told everyone to park it. i was still parked everyone else was trying to get out. they asked us if we were the "midnight crew" ??? we had no clue as to what he was talking about... and he asked then if we were the people who were chasing some damn truck around town...? my cruiser friends dont do that or i wouldnt hang with em. anyways he says
"no ones getting ticketed"
i thought yeah we arent doing anything we cant do... sit and talk. there were no cars making runs. none.
he then said. "we are ticketing everyone for modified exhaust and altered suspension." he didnt ticket anyone, but! he was very smart assy and was trying scare tactics with the tuners. said brows werent allowed said that it would have been a ticket if we had one. then continued to individually write each of our names down. but didnt check insurance. so now they have a name and a plate # to profile us by that will assure they can make sure some dumb a$$ reason to pull us over for.
no one was racing. we were talking. yet they threatened us all.
the key to this post is to let ya know that modified exhausts are going to be ticketed more. (what the cop told us!) and suspension. (larry yep ticketing for altered or modified suspension.) basically saying they can "sweat" lowered cars. i was pissed not the way i wanted to start my wifes bday. tomarrows our aniversary 3years. oh well more as i learn it.
oh and now i think there is a prelude dark color blue or black.. that might be a informer. a impreza coupe had a go with em. two girls and immediatly after they got off the road a cop got behind the GI in the RS. pulled him over. he has a n1 type exhaust coming out at a angle. silver. new news about what we can and cant do to our property!!! more to come as the cops nag to me and my friends.

Thumbs down

I am 32 years old. Have a wife and 4 kids. And if I start getting followed and/or stopped for the things I'm doing to my car I am going to be very, VERY mad. None of it will cause harm to someone else, none of it makes my car gross polluting. So why are we getting tagged for lowering our cars and these guys in their lifted 4x4's not getting ticketed? I hate it when their lights shine directly into my rear view mirror.

My wife was followed for miles one day by the police. He was staring at her pretty hard. Even got up beside her to look in for some reason. It's getting worse around here. Funny thing is, is if I ran my Ford truck no cats no mufflers just straight pipe, I'm sure that I wouldn't even get a second glance.

Well that's enough ranting from me.

Time to browse some more.

i have been saying that for years. told my friends dad the same last night at the bar.

got beside her to see if she fit the profile of the typical "ricky racer" to see if he could pull her over to stress her for the type of car she drives.. or mods he "thinks" the car has.

Jeez!
We are headed to Colo. Springs next week. They wouldn't target a middle-age white guy with a wife and two dogs in a little blue station wagon would they??

I didn't think so.

If anybody sees a WRB wagon with Texas plates weekend after next, give me a wave. And please, to avoid confusion, use at least two fingers. I know how much you guys LOVE Texans!

Default on a side note

Hey,
On a side note - The four wheelers are getting ticketed for modified suspensions. I know several people that have not changed despite the tickets, and like most tuners they shake their fists and say this is "anti-american", but they do not do anything.
What is real annoying is that the laws are not consistant. It is a pick and choose and it changes from county to county, and it seems, block to block. I saw a POS nissan that had crap for exhaust, making a nasty noise and a lot of it, and I am sure that he never gets busted.
I have not heard of too many "big city" Denver cops harrasing the tuners, mostly outlying towns like the Springs. I have personaly never liked springs cops, reminds me of that "small town" cop, you know the ones that think they run the town and you have no recourse.
Seriously are there any legal types that can help us out? Is there some sort of legal recourse? To stand by and let this happen is just what the cops want! We need to figure out how to fight back, because to just stand around and whine isn't going to help (do not take this as an insult - I think it is important for people to post what they have had happen to them!). Come on I am sure someone has some sort of connection!

Yay! Colorado cops suck. Great news for me moving back to my home state after a 4 year absence. Things must have really changed cause I don't remember them being this anal about the little things, must not be any big things going on. Well, still happy to be moving back to the greatest state I've been to.

Default Guilt by association.

I am in Denver quite a bit on business and have not seen that much focus on the street kids, maybe you should move to Denver... Or get new friends.

It is the same all over the world, the first rule is live in a bigger city. That way there is sufficient crime to keep them busy! Much less tendency to harass... Unless they piss them off of course!

Keep the chin up

I'm pretty sure you guys could fight this under the freedom of speech right. I know I would be pissed if they were doing this to me. Infact I might just call my attourney to see if this is unlawful.

OK! Now I am ****ing pissed the hell right off! *** is wrong with Colorado Springs PD? Just because someone has modifications to thier car does not mean that they are into the streetracing scene. This really has me irked off- they are giving other cops a bad name!

So what the heck are they going to do at the National Tour? Ticket all of us for reckless driving, altered suspensions and loud exhausts? I don't know, but I may post to the RMSOLO list just a heads up for Nat Tour time. I'd like to see them try and give Tunnell a ticket for his suspension.

Brat- is the media going to do anything about this? Did they just brush you off? Paula Woodward I'm sure wants to know why CSPD is sweating tuners, Tom Martino is another guy, and I'm sure other D-town stations have thier "trouble" reporters.

Sorry for the cussing, but I am absolutely MAD about this! At least in Denver the cops have CRIME to fight and wouldn't waste thier time with this....
