Default FS WRX Wagon Stealth Subwoofer Box AND Infinity Perfect 10.1D Subwoofer

SE,

I am selling the box I constructed - details of the construction at the link below. Note, I scrapped the wood top and went with fiberglass top as well. The only wood in this is the side frame and the dowels that hold the sub up. The rest is thick fiberglass.

This box is completely stealth - it fits INSIDE the spare tire (spare remains in the car). The only thing you lose is the tray that fits over the spare tire. This box is by no means pretty, but it does a good job and nobody can see it. You can cover the sub with the stock cardboard/carpeted cover (I measured the clearance and it is within the driver's max extrusion). I even used mine with the plastic cargo tray in as well.

When I had the box in my wagon the sub was powered with a Rockford Fosgate P3001. This is a dual coil subwoofer. IIRC I was powering the two coils in parallel - 300W RMS @ 2Ohm. The driver was broken in gently and has less than 24 hours of total operation.

This combination did not result in car shaking bass, but it gave a nice bottom end to the music. I actually never turned it up to 11 because it hit harder than I was looking for - that and the license plate rattled a lot.

Box is 100% sealed and my initial measurements came up to about .74ft^3 empty. The 10.1d wants .6ft^3, so it is just about the perfect size.

Driver information:

Here are the pictures as it stands today (clicky for bigy):

And a close-up of the driver (first looks funky, but the second shows the surface is fine):

If you are at ALL interested, let me know and I will bring this to the warehouse meet. I am looking to get $250 for this ($150 for the sub alone). I REALLY need to move this, so if you have a reasonable offer, feel free to make it. I'll even consider interesting trades.

I am selling it and the sub because someone stole my amplifier while my car was at one of three shops. I am moving into a small apartment and have no room to store this anymore.

Thanks for looking.

Also, will anybody be at the meet with a Legacy GT? I might just have a buyer if I can testfit this in one.

I really need to sell this, so if you're just slightly interested let me know and I'll show it to you at the warehouse meet.

Yep. I plan on bringing it for that reason - if for no other. Maybe that way I can get Nate's RSB for free/barter.
