Subaru Stars Cobb stage 2??

Hi
I have an 03 WRX Wagon with 30,000 miles a TurboXS turbo back and a waste gate solenoid by-pass, boost arrangement of some kind, it's currently running about 1 bar max boost (which I think is stock max boost??).
I've done a bit of research on here, and have seen lots of good things said about the Cobb AP stage 2. I am trying to decide weather to add an up pipe to my shopping list, this is my first turbo awd car, and I really hate that crappy 'nothing happens till 4000rpm’ turbo lag thing.
My question is: would the up pipe reduce the lag significantly?? Does the AP 2 reduce lag/improve low end performance to the point where an up pipe would be less of an issue? Also has anyone had problems with the pre-turbo cat failing and putting debris through the turbo? Should this be a consideration when upgrading a car of this age / mileage??
Anyone got any ideas? AP 2? AP 2 and up-pipe? Up-pipe before or the after AP 2?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Jon

Yes, you will spool much faster without that catalytic converter in there. Its main function is to reduce emissions on cold starts. I gutted my cat when I installed my TXS turboback and it spools much faster (better acceleration)

AP stage 2 doesnt include the uppipe, but you will benifet from the quicker spool

Do the uppipe AND AP stage 2 at the same time-you will be happy

my friend had a cobb stage 2 with an uppipe.. i have a cobb stage 2 without one. we never pulled on eachother. our cars were dead even. i have an up waiting to be installed. if you can get both the ap and the up pipe install together, do it.
