Default My new Subaru BAJA

I finally get my 2005 BAJA TURBO on April 15, 2005. I ordered it five weeks ago; the wait is the worst, knowing that have a new vehicle on order and you still have to drive your old vehicle.

I am a life long Subaru owner because the first Subaru (1998 Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon) was totaled by a drunk driver, all the safety features on my first Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon worked. The drunk was reported by other drivers that stopped to help; said that the drunk was driving 70 MPH when he hit me on the front side of my Subaru. I was driving 55 MPH and had my seat belts on, the air bags deployed (that is a shocker when that happens it is just like being hit in the face with boxing gloves) the engine dropped down and my car was spinning around in a circle until it stopped. In that accident I walked out yelling at the drunk in the other vehicle. The Police arrived and was in shock that I was the driver because how the vehicle looked and I was uninjured.

Everyone should be thankful that you all own an awesome vehicle and it will save your life one day.

I will write a report on my BAJA after I drive it for a few weeks.

Congrats ! I have had my Baja since 2002 and still loving it! I had to order mine and it took 2 months. Of course here in NJ not a whole lot of people drive manual. Have fun with your new Baja!

When I got mine, they had to drive it from the other side of the state. The dealer had said that everyone of their places in NY only had about 3 onsite, so it was a real pain to find the colors\options I wanted.

Actually worked out in my favor as I got additional options free when they finally found one.

I was just at my dealer (Dulles Subaru, Leesburg, VA) this morning - they have at least 8-10, roughly two of each color except black. manual and auto, turbo & non turbo.

Picked it up and it drives very nice, I can't wait till I get over 500 miles so I can punch it and feel the turbo kick in.

The speed shift is fun on the automatic, it makes it fast.

Just punch right off the bat! Hell, if it's going to break, might as well break now!

J/K! Don't yah worry, 500 miles is nothing.
