Default FS 16" steelies and snow tires

I know your thinking about snow!

16" Steelies (black) w/ 205/55/16 Dunlop M3 snow tires. One and a half seasons on them, but very low mileage (I don't commute), tires are in mint condition

Tires are perfect for Boston area winters as they give up very little dry road performance for the excellent snow capabilities they offer.

New from Tire Rack, tires are $106 each and the Stealies are $49 each (total $620 plus shipping to buy new)

Be ready for next winter

Asking $300 for the set

Humm.. Buy these, can use with WRX brakes. Install 15" snow tires on Heathers Nissan.

Humm..

Any chance you can hold these for me? I could give you a deposit? I just need to hold off on spending money until I get a couple of house things figured out.

I am not sure I can hold them for you. I am moving to CA, so I have to get rid of them in the next month or so (and I can use the dough)

I guess I will have to see how much interest there is in them

Well, I hope to know about my "house stuff" in like a week. I wouldn't expect you to hold them very long, I just can't say for sure yet until I get an estimate for a new heating system.

Any idea how many miles you've put on them, and have you been rotating them at say 6-8K mile intervals?

I guess let me know if you have little interest before you take off to Cali.

O, thanks for the offer. As I said above I hope to figure things all out well before he starts heading for a plane.

I have money, just can't spend it yet because it is set aside for other stuff. I just have no idea what the "other stuff" is going to cost me.

I also made a commitment to teh Keith to pick up / buy that RS hood he has, and he has been very patient. So I have to send him a check first (which I am doing now).

I do have someone coming tomorrow to look at / purchase my van. So if that goes well I'll be in real good shape.

Well, I have had my car for nearly two years and I have put on just over 11k miles and most of that is from summer road trips on my other wheels, if that tells you something.

So my best guess is that they have maybe 2500-3500 miles on them and I rotated them into different positions from last year.

Most of the mileage on them this year was from the snow meets, and that was mostly in deep snow

I'll keep you posted

It's hard to replace your water heater (that also provides heat) when it is winter. It is good to replace the stuff before it is broken and you are stuck with whoever is willing to show up to fix it quickly.

The tire issue:
Heathers 2004 Nissan has 15" Re-92's, which were pretty bad this winter. She drives more than I do too, and will need snow tires next year for sure because she'll be on the road for work.

I have 15" steels with excellent snow tires for my L, which is destined to have WRX front brakes. I was going to just swap to RS size brakes for winter and continue to use my set, but that means buying rims/tires for Heather's car next winter.

So, this works out pretty good. I only buy your set for my car and a cheap set of 15" Nissian rims for her car to mount my current snows on. Win win.

Got any set of ski's?

Thumbs up

This is such an awesome deal. If I weren't already flush with wheels and tires, I'd snap these right up.

People are going to be crying next winter when nobody has good snow tires at a reasonable price...
