Default timing belt popped out

my firend's 05 wrx recently got into accident. He is ok, but the car is totalled. This is also a perfect time for the engine swap ...however,according to my mechanic friend, the timing belt popped out, so I wonder what is the worst scenario that can happen to the engine?

crushed valves, damaged piston faces.

And maybe heads depending on rpm when the belt let loose.
