Hey everyone. I had a question:
I am considering getting an Accessport for my 2004 WRX. One thing I want to know before buying it is how much gas it saves in the Economy Mode. Does anyone have any stats of difference in gas mileage between the stock WRX and an Accessport-ed WRX in Economy Mode? Even if just from your own experience of using the thing, in vauge terms. Every bit of information helps. Thanks.

A search will get you your answers....http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...t=economy+mode
I would say forget about the AP if economy mode is your deciding factor in the purchase, if saving gas is what your into then keep your right foot in check. The AP is designed to enhance performance and while it offers an economy mode, the money you spend on the AP will not get recouped by the gas savings in economy mode (IMHO). |

Don't know about econ mode, but in stage 2 93 octane mode my gas mileage sucks.

I spoke with a couple people on this, and they found no signficiant increase (maybe 1-2MPG).
I did fine, however, after getting my UTEC tuned (not ecnonmy tuned, just tuned for driveability and a bit mroe power) on my otherwise stock car that my mileage went up by about 2MPG if I am careful with the throttle. |

There are quite a few people who claim a 1-2 MPG increase on the Stg2 91 or 93 octane maps. The rest are probably a little heavier on the right foot and lose any gains. The Economy map is not your friend though and serves little purpose. Really want to save gas around town? Run the valet map. JK. But I'm sure it's the only map that will actually give you a noticeable difference.
