The first one was bad but cool. The second one sucked terribly. A third would be a waste of time. |

i think hollywood is out of ideas and is just making sequels, prequels, remakes, etc. these days.
i'll suggest: rocky 2005, (where he fights matlock), a feature-length "21 jump street", and maybe a prequel to muppet babies? |

Doubt it. Bryan Singer doesn't make flops typically (X-Men 1 & 2, The Usual Suspects...), and he also got the blessings of Richard Donner (first Superman) and Dana Reeve. Plus he is seen in the latest video blog with the Schuster family, descendents of Joe Schuster, co-creator (along with Jerry Siegel) of Superman in the '30s. Which is amazing because the guys sold the rights to Superman for about $150 decades ago, and the families have been in lawsuits against WB for years, trying to earn recognition or royalties or whatever..... So to see them on good terms means that Singer actually gives a crap. |

He didn't want to.
Plus they didn't want to make the movie a continuation of the Smallville storyline. Which, in my opinion, is a good idea. It's a fun show, and it has it's shining moments, but largely the plots suck. |

I'm looking forward to:
DOOM I like my movies simple sometimes. Something like the Rock and Vin Diesel as vindictive Federal agents with Arnold Schwarz. as the boss in a movie where the plot is about as deep as two solid hours of automatic weapon fire, shoulder fired missles, tanks, and boobs. End of story. |

![]() He has the looks, but using him would have probably been very difficult, as the storylines are totally different between the movies and Smallville. I don't think Tom was formally asked, no, but he expressed disinterest in a couple of SR pre-filming interviews. |

I'm thinkin' a Sin City sequel will only happen if Frank Miller gets a bug up his butt to do another comic. It was a cool movie, stylistically. Otherwise it wasn't my speed. Though the nudity wasn't too bad.
![]() Heh. I didn't like the last Harry Potter... The camera/artistic direction was too different from the past two, or maybe it just didn't sit well with me, in general. Hopefully Goblet of Fire is better. It supposedly will also have the first preview of Superman Returns, therefore I must go see it. ![]() (That or King Kong, but I bet it'll be HP.) |

![]() when the whole SR thing began, there was a lot of controversy around the movie and if they would have to can smallville. thankfully things are much better now between smallville and the wb movie people...as they consulted each other when creating the new FOS. but i am hoping for the best for SR...with a hollywood budget, a new superman movie could be very cool...and singer rarely misses. i am also looking forward to a batman begins sequel, as well as x3. |

happasaiyan,
I know they got another director for X3, so that makes me worry a trifle.... But with Hugh Jackman on as executive producer as well, and most of the crew returning (except Nightcrawler ), that tells me that the ACTORS want the movie to keep with current tradition. A very good sign.Plus, Avi Arad is of course involved, and he helped Sam Raimi steer the Spider-Man ship in to huge success, and did the same for Singer's first two X-Men movies. It shouldn't fail, but I can't help but to cross fingers... As for Smallville and SR, yeah I know there was some concern, there. But both divisions can survive and do well on their own steam, even though the continuity is kind of confusing if you let yourself think about it. ![]() |
