get an intake. then get cams. the cams will double the power made by the intake/exhaust. then you can get lightened pully kits.

which headers do you have? If you have Borla's, get rid of them. Then get some equal length headers.

I had COBB EL headers and hiflow cat, catback, CAI, sonin light weight pulley, and I dyno'd at 142 whp and 158 ft/lbs torque.

The guy wants power not sound. So in his case equal length is the way to go.

If you want more power you can also increase the compression, you try for something like 13.0:1 instead of the 11.0:1 we have normally. Best bet is cams and NOS y0.

Not to hijack or anything but what the most power anyone has gotten out of a N/A subie?

I believe if you search for dcoty or Matt Monson you will find those figures. It has been a while, but I seem to feel like those are the big N/A power guys.

Jared

Basically, you take base WRX numbers and that is the top of 2.5L N/A power.

I think Dcoty had somewhere around 200whp on his RS. Pretty impressive.

You've got your facts mixed way up, Gekko. First of all, the stock RS has 10:1 compression. Second, 13:1 compression would need race gas over 93 octane. The highest compression that you can or at least ought to run in an RS for the street is about 11.5:1 I think.

If you want to spend a hunk of cash, get cylinder heads, cams, and maybe a valvetrain upgrade. This should put you over 200bhp. With some management and tuning you can get substantially more because of the improved flow's new potential with A/F and timing adjustments. Look at TWE.

Not even close. I think last time Dcoty dynoed his engine it was under 170whp and shortly afterwards his block blew up.
Still, he did make a 14.2 (or was it 14.1) second pass on the quarter mile. Not bad for a non turbo!

Yup, definitely over 200chp. I think a stock WRX dynos around 160WHP, and Dcotys car was significantly faster than a WRX.

I have just an Injen Intake and borla headers. Im puttin down 137.5whp and146.6 torque. I'm pretty sure if i had that high flow cat n exhaust system i'd be puttin down about 145-150whp and 150-155torque. So wat im tryin to say is that gains like crash had are possible without equal length too....
