Default Help, throttle doesn't drop between shifts.

Just picked up an 02 WRX, blue 60000km bone stock. Very mixed first inpressions. Biggest problem is the throttle takes a long time to drop down between shifts, the harder I drive the more annoying it becomes, is there a fix for this.

I'm not sure what your asking. Are you saying when you accelerate in 1st gear that you can not shift into second untill the rpms drop back down to idle or what?? There is no need to wait for anything other than the shifter to go into one gear to the next. Learn how to drive stick better, driving school, a friend, ect...

Yes that can be "fixed". although it's really not broken.
You could get a lightened flywheel, if it really bothers you that much.

All you need to do is back off the throttle right before shifting, let the stress off the drivetrain and then push in the clutch, be totally off the gas before pushing in clutch, but not so slow as to engine brake, its a balance but the revs drop fast then. If this isnt enough a pulley/flywheel will do the trick.

i know what he is talking about. it can easily be changed on the older honda's or acura's. on those cars you just remove a vacuum tube. the tube is controled by a round peice which i dont know the name of it. it allows the throttle to be released at an even slower rate. dont know about your car tho so youll need to look for a vacuum tube and try.
