Default 05 STi - CAN capable?

Is the 05 STi CAN capable? Can I get a OBD2 scanner with CAN capacity to work with it?

Thanks,

-J

If its like the '05 Legacy GT, the standard CAN pins aren't populated on the OBD-2 connector. Docs make it sound like the LGT is using a private CAN bus for inter module communication though.

Yeah, I just checked the pins on my obd2 connector and it does NOT have the CAN pins...

This "subaru specific monitor" that the shop manual talks about - is this the same as the 'GM specific monitor' for GM cars?

Wow. That is interesting info Jon. I thought we'd be seeing CAN in the 2006 models. I was planning on making an OpenPort interface that supports CAN right away, but it looks like I wouldn't have any Subarus to test it on.
