This is a good thread. Did the 04 STi come with a antenna? I can't find one in mine.

I have a 2011 STI Navigation unit on the way that I plan to retrofit into my 2008 WRX. This info is great, and it looks like I may be in need of a harness here soon. Thanks for all the info!

just finished rewiring my harness for a hi-output converter. Every single wire in my harness was a different color than the links on the OP.

2008 Legacy GT with premium sound, non HK, no nav.

Found that the sequence for speakers was:

Yellow w/black stripe = Right Front + (pin 3)
Yellow solid = Right Front - (pin 9)

Grey w/back stripe = Left Front + (pin 2)
Grey solid = Left Front - (pin 8)

Dark Green w/black stripe = Right Rear + (pin 4)
Dark Green solid = Right Rear - (pin 11)

Aqua Green w/black = Left Rear + (pin 5)
Aqua Green solid = Left Rear - (pin 12)

Brown w/yellow stripe = Power Antenna/Power Amp out (normally blue) (pin 14)
Grey w/red stripe = +12 Accessory (normally solid red) (pin 10)

Black solid = Ground (normally solid black anyway) (pin 11)

Blue solid = Illumination + (normally orange) (pin 7)
Purple w/black stripe + grey dots = Illumination - (normally orange w/white stripe) (pin 1)

Yellow solid = 12 Memory (normally yellow solid) (pin 6)

FWIW, I went nuts for 2 days trying to figure out what wires went where while using that old 95+ pin out that people were using in 2005 (link from OP). It appears that the scheme has changed atleast for my setup.

I once again removed each door speaker to get the wiring colors and the rest with an ohm meter by disconnecting each one and reconnecting it.

What a PITA. Only took me 15 minutes to make the harness once I actually had the correct wiring (see above).

atleast I had stinger quickwire so there was minimal speghetti.

I was able to fit a 4-channel hi-low converter in behind the radio, and still have room for more.

Ran the cable snake down the center of the console and to each amp under the seats. I'll post pictures of the harness / pinout for the 08 LGT w/Preminum and no nav.

Edit: Also, to make it even more fun, the 2nd harness (after the 9" mini harness that sits between the head unit and the actual speaker wiring harness) has a COMPLETLY different color pattern beyond the 9" harness I had to cut up for my hi-low converter. Not only was the wiring scheme different, each wire was spliced multiple times to various other functions I couldn't see because it went into the dashboard too far. Most of the smaller wires had 3 colors or more on each wire.

Sounds like you have a t-harness for the factory subwoofer or something like that behind your radio. The colors you provided are nowhere in subaru service so it's either that or you had a car that was built at 4:30 on a Friday...

Does the Non-Navi 2011+ head unit have the BlueTooth built-in? I want to know if I can pick up a used OEM non-navi unit and plug and play into my base 2009 WRX and still have access to Bluetooth phone call and music streaming. I don't care about a built in MIC I can use the one on my phone similar to how the AUX works.

Yes, the non-navi 2011 headunit has built-in bluetooth.

Wonderful, Any plug and play issues that you can think of? I assume the Phone Call feature should still be able to stream even without the mic.

Default Rear View Camera?

I have a 2012 Sport Limited, non-NAV. I am trying to figure out what the additional inputs are on the back of my stereo, and if they are possibly for a rear view camera.
The display can / does display full color pictures, so I'm hoping I might be able to retrofit a rear view camera using my factory display.

Haven't Google but it should with the right wiring and mounting kit.

As for steering wheel buttons, you need a steering wheel adaptor, about $60.

He'll get back to you soon. SVXdc is great to work with, I got my harness from him this weekend and looks great. Going to sit down and solder/heatshrink things tonight so I'm ready for the amp install this weekend.

Hey, I got ahold of an OEM KENWOOD FXDB10KF2, it came out of a 2011 Forester limited Edition

Would like to install in my 2013 sti 5 door, will it fit and still have steering wheel control, and do I need any additional harnesses and how do I order from you?

Thanks!

It will fit and you'll have most of your function. Remember this won't be a straight plug and play install. You'll need this http://ae64.com/NaviTransplantharness.htm and some soldering work. Good luck.
