Default AEM 2.5RS + WRX Heads

I've got an EJ25 motor with WRX top end. What do I need to do in order to get an AEM EMS to plug into the existing wiring harness? I tried doing a search, but alas it yielded no results.

Yes you can get it to work but its going to be a pain in the ass. If the plugs on the end of your 2.5rs wiring harness is diffrent from that of a wrx then you are going to have to get the plugs for a wrx. Then you are going to have to get a pin out for both cars and put the wires from the 2.5rs harness in the appropriate holes on the wrx plug.

Best of luck

It's either that or building my own harness. I imagine it's the lesser of the two evils.

What are the differences in sensors between them? I know I have to get a 2 bar MAP sensor to start with...

Default Sensors

There are some sensors you might as well replace anyway, For example

Map Sensor= AEM 3.5 Bar Map

IAT= GM IAT sensor

EGT= AEM EGT

Etc....

Changing the plugs is basically the same as building your own harness, either way its alot of tedious(sp?) work.

your gonna need the GM Boost control solenoid also. The only way I can see doing this would be depin your current plug and place the pins into the wrx plug or make and adapter harness that would make it easy to go back to stock ecu if needed.

as long as you leave the wrx heads when you change the block on a wrx from the 2.0 to 2.2 or 2.5 you should be fine and not have to do anything else. right now no one has the aem setup to run AVCS heads.

Default no no no

He has a 2.5 rs, he is going to have to repin the harness with the WRX plugs. If you were just swapping a 2.5 or 2.2 block into your wrx then you wouldnt have to change anything. The computer has no idea what displacement engine you are running.
