I am considering installing an STi Uppipe on my 03WRX and it doesn't come with an egr bung since there is no cat? Will this cause a cel? I would prefer for it to appear stock. Has anyone done this mod? Am I wasting time? Should I just get a......?

As for the CEL, you will get it, but there's an easy $.99 fix. Go to Radio Shack and get a 2.2k Ohm 1/4 watt resistor and put that in the EGT probe plug, the one still attached to the harness.

Do you have an other mods, downpippe or engine management? If not then you will probably not notice any difference. I would suggest doing an uppipe and downpipe at the same time since you have to remove the downpipe to install the uppipe anyway. And engine management will also make a big difference in the way the car feels and performs.

I am installing a Borla Hush so I decided to do the downpipe at the same time and if I am doing that then I thought...............well , why not the up pipe too. Afte4r that I will probably get either the Cobb AP or the UTEC. But I will have some time to decide.......

I've got the AB and love it. It's reletively cheap and easy to use, plus with the AccessTuner you can do much more. ECUtek is also good and you can get a custom tune. Any way you go will be a big difference.

But since you are doing the downpipe I say do the uppipe, and the STi is as good as anyother.

Just stick it in and tape it off real well, you can't see it anyway.
