Default If you have ever ran cobb stage 1 please give me some insight!

So i installed the AP on my 02 wrx on friday. I flashed the stage 1 91oct and everything went smooth. Friday was all good, hit target boost and was happy. PSI was around 15. Saturday it dropped to about 12.7 , Then came back up to almost 14 on sunday, and now it keeps going up and down between 12.7 and 14, but the 1st day it hit 15 all the time. Soo ive put about 200 miles on the car. Did a 3rd gear pull today and only saw 13. So basically I have 4 questions:

A) Should i just wait longer? What is the point where i say ok this isnt getting any better and waiting longer isnt the issue?

B) Should i try to download the latest version map and install that? I might already have it, but i havnt downloaded anything yet so i dunno.

C) Should i try the stage 1 HWG MAP?

D) Should i try to unmarry, then reinstall the AP?

Where are you reading boost from? I think it will hit 15 until the ECU learns a bit more about the environment. If its cold, it might change than if its hot. I would first try the vishnu reset after you reflash the car. Dont use the HWG map unless you really need to. You SHould also downlad the latest version map and use that. The ap should tell you what version you have.

I would give it some more time. The ECU is probably trying to adjust and learn the new flash. If it still isn't hitting target boost (14psi?) than I would try downloading the latest maps and try again. If all else fails, you can always call COBB.

now if i were to just hit just 14psi in 5th gear would you consider that working, if all other gears are only getting about 13?? Ive been takin readings off both the accessport and my boost guage which are identical in the readouts so thats good. Where in the AP does it show you what version map you are running? when you go to current map, it will just say stg 1 91 oct but doesnt give the version. And with that vishnu reset, is keeping the rpm's constant the biggest factor, or is it keeping boost constant?

Do you have any other mods at all? Running the HWG map is usually an bandaid for another issue. I run the AP STG1 with no issues from day one and can pull about 10 PSI in 1st, 12-13 in second, and 15-15.5 in 3rd and up. Adding inlet hose and IC hoses didn't change target boost readings but did drop spool time and make it easier to hit higher boost in lower gears. You have a boost gauge so try revert to stock and see if you can manage stock boost okay or not.

I do have an aftermarket up pipe, thats the only other mod. So when you say revert to stock, should i use the "back to stock" option on the AP or just unmarry the whole thing and start over? I have also been reading about some restrictor hose, or the wastegate actuator, are those safe choices to help my problem? I wish the damn thing would work with out any problems jeesh! OK so my plan is, figure out if i have the latest map. Flash back to stock, see if im hittin target boost, 13.5 right? Then reflash new map and see if that helps.
