Default Solutions for 3rd to 4th grind

I've done some searching about the 3rd to 4th synchro go. And Its happening to me I swapped out the tranny fluid for some redline hoping that would maybe help but it did'nt. So just curious what I should do rip my parts off it and trade it in and let the dealer deal with it. Or fix it.

You can try a different fluid. I have heard that Pennzoil syncromesh or BG synchroshift is a good option to ease of pain of a worn out synchro.

But I just went ahead and had my 3-4 synchro replaced.

Well, they have to break open the tranny, so that is bad. The guy that did mine also likes to replace the 1-2 synchro because it is usually beat all to hell too. I think the 1-2 synchro is around 50 bucks, the 3-4 synchro is expensive and about 250? Can't remember. But the catch is the labor. You are looking at 5-8 hours worth of work so it will cost with parts probably about a grand.
