Default 05 STI sway bar

I have a Cusco adjustable rear sway bar from my old 02 WRX. I just got an 05 STI. Does this bar work on the STI or do I need an STI specific bar. Vivid sells one and says it works for all, but Gruppe-s sells one specifically for the STI. What's the deal? Thanks.

no no no it wont work

just about 2" too short for the STi

Sti rear sway is just about 2" longer than the WRX/RS/TS rear bar

yup, its fine for 2004 but not for 2005. I made the mistake of buying a 2005 STI swaybar for my regular WRX and it would not fit. I took the sellers word and bought it but it was indeed a couple inches too long. He refused to take it back even though we were local and it was his mistake, but there is nothing saying he had to refund me so I just sold it to a forester owner(it fits for the forester XT).

What about the front bar? I have a CUSCO front sway bar from my 02 wrx. Will it fit on a 05 sti? Is it better than stock?

only if your bar was from an 02WRX SEDAN. If it was from a wagon, it won't fit.
