Default Bonefish Bar and Grill

Anyone ever eaten at a BoneFish bar and grill?

Brittney and I just got back from the new one in the Broadlands, VA. Near Ashburn. OMG, thats all I have to say. We had the Ban Bang shrimp to start things off, I'm not a shrimp guy, but these things were just amazing. Then we each had a filet, best damn steak I've ever had. For desert we had strawberry shortcake. I will say that this place was up there with Morton's in Reston, and was alot better than Lightfoot in Leesburg. We walked out the door at $59, with tip was $75. The ambience and service was top notch. I highly reccomend it to the other couples in the area, or a night out with the guys. Perfect after work hang out too. Not sure how the bar is, but seemed alright.

Bonefish is really good...I had the seared ahi tuna there and it was tasty.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's up there with Morton's....

But definitely a good place to go!

That place is sweet. They have one here in Centreville. I think it is owned by Outback or a guy who defected from them.

If you guys want a seriously great steak....cook it yourself. Thats right....cook it your damn self.

Out in Bealton (rt. 28 south of Manassas) there is a butcher named Wilsons Meats. They sell dry aged beef and about anything else that comes from a cow, pig or chicken. And the prices are great. All of the meat is cut to order and these guys KNOW their trade. Last time I was out there porterhouse steak was in the 8-9 $ range...thats less than half the price of the premium select crap they sell at giant.

As far as I, or they, know they are the only ones in the mid atlantic region that sell dry aged beef retail. But I do have to warn you....this place is a REAL butcher shop that is a slaughterhouse and everything else as well. If you are expecting nice surroundings and ambient lighting...you might want to stick to Giant/safeway/whatever.

Oh, and bring cash....they dont take credit.

Yeah the melting pot is overpriced especially since you are cooking your own dam food!

Yeah, I've heard the same.

We had quite a few on Florida's west coast. I've been there a few times, but it didn't compare to Emeril's restaurant at CityWalk in Orlando.

Agreed. It's far too expensive for what it is.

I went there and thought it was pretty good. Not the best I have ever had but pretty damn good considering the price. Loved the crab soup.
I could go there and just eat the appetizers.

The thin that pisses me off about melting pot (other than cooking your own damn food) is that it takes forever to eat there it's easily 3-4 hours.

My sister worked at the one in centerville for around a year. The food is damn fantastic and their shrimp appetizers are indeed worth every penny.

But ain't it fun to sit around awhile and take your time? Yeah, sometimes it blows...but other times I'd rather take my good ol' time.
