Default Access Port Power Adaptor Specs

2 hours away from home and I need to load some maps to my access port. I didn't bring the darn power supply for the AP. I did manage to find the output specs but not the polarity.

Supposedly it's 5VDC and 1200ma. Need to know what the plug polarity is though so I can pick one up and NOT fry the AP. AP is for a 2002 WRX though I imagine the power supply is the same for all models. If someone can post this information up it would be great. Thanks.

Here are all the specs on the one that I am using to power up my port. It works fine and I havent fried my port in probably over 30+ times plugging it in.

Input: 120VAC / 60HX / 18VA
Output: 5VDC / 1200 mA

Is there a little picture with the + - polarity of the plug? Should look like a dot with a C around it and the dot and C should have a line to a + or -. Need to know this as reverse polarity DC will make the magic smoke escape from my AP.

Just checked mine with VOM - like nearly all US adapters, the inside is positive; the barrel around the outside is negative (corresponds to our negative ground automotive systems). I only have one converter in the house that has it reversed, and that was bought in Japan for one of their products.

Thanks guys. You just never know anymore and I didn't want to risk the AP.
