is there an easy way to get the stock headlight higher? I realize that my low beams to not extend far enough and I would like to bump them up. if that doesn't help, I'll look to another bulb.
thanks

Same problem here. You can adjust the "height' with the adjusters sticking out the back of the housing. They have a hex head on them. You apparently cannot adjust the horizontal position. I will see if I can dig up the instructions for you.

Sorry, I don't know what I did wrong.
It is a pdf file, and it won't like up. If you want to give me a real email address I will just send it to you as an attachment. It isn't vital, but you may want to see it. It is from the Subaru online service manual. |

Dude, you might not want to do that. I wouldn't post my E-mail address without first replacing "@" with the word "at" or adding something to it to truncate later so the spam bots don't blow up your E-mail account.
Just a Baja owner looking out for a Baja owner. P.S. Better yet, just P.M. the guy your E-mail address... |

thanks I removed it. yeah - I wasn't thinking. I remember when I first started using email back in 1993, it wasn't until 1998 or so when SPAM really became an issue. Back then we use to add in words like "REMOVE" to the address. Back in the '80s I used a BBS and a 2400 baud modems with my Commodore 64 and as a kid my first computer was a TI 99/4A -- ok i'm feeling old now.
![]() Thanks again Perry, I got the PDF and I hope to try and adjust them up today. |

I made some adjustments tonight.
8mm, 1/4" short socket will do the trick. the Pass. side is tricky because of a wiring loom, it kept flipping my socket direction switch. I may have turned them a little too far. No one flashed me on my test drive tonight so I'll leave it and see how it goes. I would like a brighter bulb, anyone replaced their OEM bulb with a good aftermarket bulb? |

I found the driver side to be harder, due to the battery bracket. Nothing like scraping the skin off the back of your hand with every turn!
I think I went too far too. I am waiting for the high beam assault, but it hasn't come yet, so I am leaving them alone for now. ;-) At least I will know you on the road, eh? Quote:
