i am not sure what you are feeling....some maps have rough spots in them caused by timing. most of the roughness can be tuned out.

I also don't know what your talking about. I'm assuming its a ruff transition (CL->OL) you're referring to and can easily be tuned out

well the guy at a local tuner shop told me that when the Utec takes over the EM @ 2k theres a little motor blip. he told me that you can learn how to shift around it, kinda like trying to avoid dropin your rrrr's below 2k. is this true???

the utec cuts in only according to TPS, not rpm.

and that guy works for at a tuning shop? never go back to him ....

the bucking is usually related to running too rich and/or driving right around the TPS crossover point...

you can adjust the crossover point to suit your driving style

...it can be a PITA sometimes.....but sometimes things like BOV's make it a lot more difficult.

sometimes, stock cars have hesitation as well coming onto boost, so it could be that, but don't trust the "tuner" you were refering to again.

it WOULD be theoretically POSSIBLE for you to have the utec cut in at a certain rpm though... just not likely. there would be no reason to. you'd have to 1) keep the utec in original (non-olf) mode, 2) set your values for timing, boost, and maf offset to ECU, ECU and 0 respectively for all load sites below the cutover rpm. then you would have a TPS + RPM based crossover to utec control. it would depend on BOTH parameters being met in order to take effect.

i don't know why you would do this--but it's possible.
