Default fuel pump relay question

Hello everyone.
I installed dual walbros intank fuel pumps, Y-ed them together into larger hose and so on. I wired the pump on ths same connector. just spliced the wires and hooked both of them. Now I ran into problems. When I try to start the car it is starting, the pressure goes up and them slow goes down until car stalls. Basiclly my fuel pumps goes offline when I start the car. Is it because it is too much wireing both pumps on same wires? How can I wire them to solve this problem? Wire them directly from the battery though the ralay of the starter? Is it fine and safe? Maybe some other way so I wan't have to run 2 wires from the hood to the trunk? Thank you.

Why dual Walbro's? Isn't one sufficient?
