I ran into a simular issue on my STI. It turned out the middle switch on my UTEC was flipped the wrong way. The middle switch allows for fuel cut. Make sure you have it turned off. Hope this helps...

intercooler hoses are all ok. I took it off the dyno today and drove it. It is ok in 1-3 gear, it is in 4,5 and 6th. I think it is ignition but what could it be?

I've seen some inlets close up at high boost. Next time your on the dyno check and see if your turbo inlet is collapsing. It will feel like the car just drops power like you mentioned. I've never seen a stock one collapse but I've seen Perrin and even Samco at 22psi.

^^^^^
I have seen this a few times, but only with aftermarket turbo inlet hoses. I have darn near the exact setup, but stuck with the stock inlet because Rich at DYNOCOMP warned me of that exact problem with after market Turbo Inlets.

If you are running launch control, the switch on your clutch might not be touching anymore (broken or misaligned), or the jumper that comes with the Remote switch might be loose.

launch controll is diconnected. We tested for leaks and have not faund any. I ran some 104 oct gas through it today on the street and it was reving all he way out up to 4th gear with no prob. I do not know if it will in 5th or 6th ( not able to get going that fast ). I did order a new coil and I am going to try swapping them out one by one and see if it cures the problem. Thanks every one for all your help!!!! keep it comming

Wow, your problem sounds a lot like mine. Reference here...

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=753775

I'm going to pull my plugs and check those and maybe gap them down a little bit until I can get a new set here. Most frustrating problem I've had in a while.

Check to see if you didn't break your TGV when installing the inlet. If you have a delta dash you can see if they are opening.

My car ran fine until rpms got upto around 5500 and then it would just stop.

This problem is popping up more and more. I have three cars here that do the exact same thing. Right around 6000 rpm its as if there is a rev limiter kicking in. No matter what I do the car will still do this. Even stopped in neutral.. All cars are 04's. All have big turbos and all have larger injectors.

I have swapped Utecs from cars that are not doing this with no luck. This happens at 4psi or 25 psi. Any AFR from 10 to 1 to 13 to 1. Any amount of timing. It is not tuning. I believe its ignition cut out of some sort. If you run on the stock ECu the problem disapears. I called TXS and they had not heard of this. I have never seen this on 05's. Only 04s. I now know of 7 cars doing this... I hope someone figures this out soon.

Last I saw, the launch control was disabled in his UTEC's parameters.
