Default Clarion under seet sub

I just got my Clarion Sub installed today. Dam does it sound good. It doesn't put out thumping power that will shake the car next to you, but it does fill out the low end very well and it vibrates my wifes hiney really well. I have it turned down a bit and it it sounds great. I have a lot of playing to do with my setup to get the sound just right but dam it is nice.

Setup:
04 Subaru Baja turbo premium
Subaru/Clarion upgraded speakers
Pioneer Premier DEH-P760MP Head Unit
Pioneer GEX-P910XM XM Reciever
Clarion SRV303 Underseet Subwoofer

No problems what so ever. It is about the same size as the OEM one. Just a lot better.

Legacy

Just found your thread, am considering installing this or the OEM sub in my 05' Legacy...

How is the wiring set up? Is it plugged into the head unit using a t harness connection... or did you have to cut into the existing wiring?

Inquiring minds want to know....

stedler,
I used a forward and reverse wiring harness to connect it to my 06 LGT. In the baja it was connected to a Pioneer HU which had line out for a sub. Take a look at this thread for more info:

bumping this thread to confirm that the clarion under-seat sub fits, albeit barely. i installed mine a couple weeks ago and i'm very happy with it. not "boomin" but it fills in the bass enough for me. the detachable controls are a nice touch.

about $250, and it's got a built-in amp. the name of the game when selecting a sub for the baja is space-saving. i'm not an audiophile, nor did i want to throw a sub in the open bed. with the low-pass filter and phase switch options on the detachable faceplate controls, it has enough range to fill in the low end and keep me satisfied. if i had an actual trunk i'd probably opt for something bigger, but this one is a great in-cabin, out-of-the-way alternative.

I gotta tell you, I'm so glad I went with the factory package.

I guess I'm just not enough of an audiofile to hear the difference, but the factory package is perfect for me.

Now I am gonna go with an aftermarket head unit as soon as I can, one that can run Satellite and an Ipod, but if not for that, I coulda kept the factory head unit too.
