Default Will stock heat shields fit borla headers?

Car: 2001 2.5RS
Question: Will the heat sheilds on the stock exhaust manifolds fit over the borla headers?
Reason: CYA purposes - so if a cop decides he wants to be nosey, they really wont know unless they wanna remove my headers

Thanks

no they wont they are a totally different design, and if he does look under your car, and asks you just tell him you took off the heat shields, how will he know they arent stock.

Aren't borla headers 50 states legal? The header itself only replaces the manifold, so your cats are still in present.

"Q. Will it void my factory warranty?

NO. Some cars even have BORLA systems as the OEM exhaust. All of our street exhaust products are 50-state emissions legal. Our headers are 50-state legal and C.A.R.B. approved. In fact, it is illegal for a dealer to deny you the OE warranty because you have changed the exhaust system. "

Borla Gen 1 headers for Imprezas had CARB numbers- but then they revised them (3 times) and never updated them. This is why you don't get a CARB sticker with the header when you order it. It's not legal in California.

haha im just using stuff said on this topic at iclub.

You should do what i did..... Go to the auto store get some Thermo-tec or watever company exhaust wrap. Wrap it good around the headers n ur pretty much set.... ive had my headers wrapped for about 6k miles now and no problems yet.
