V7 STI 6-speed Front LSD ... Help

Anyone know can you put a Helical Front LSD from an 05 STI into V7 STI transmission?

Transmission code V7 STI - TY856WB1AA: front diff: open, rear diff R180 suretrac

Transmission code V8 STI (05MY) - TY856WH6MA: front diff: helical, rear diff R180 plated.

Im trying to use the helical in my V7 STI transmission. Front replacement. Thanks

I have not done this but I do not see why it would not work. The ring gear bolting, bearing races, and speedo gear areas are the same. A knowledgeable shop can transfer over the correct ring gear using new bolts, pull the bearing, install the correct speedo gear, install new bearings/races, re-set backlash/pre-load/tooth pattern.
Unless there is something unique about that v7 open front diff trans.......

Correct .. verified by RALLISPEC. it will work with no trouble.
