Default need ur help. still confused.

I have searched and read a lot of threads and the sticky's in here but Im still a little confused. I have an 02 rs and have started saving up for an exhaust. I was thinking of getting a catback but not sure which one to get (whats good) and what is available for my car. Is there more to gain from the catback than from just getting an axel back? I wanna hear my engine and gain something from my expense. This is something Im doing research on until I get enough money.
Thanks guys

the difference between catback and axleback is noticeable. but not by much. then again the difference between stock and axleback is barely noticeable.

good ones:

-stromung
-borla
-brullen
-apexi
-JIC
-**custom**

custom is good because it is about half the price of other commercial catbacks.

The best one possibly for the RS's is probably the Stromung intermediate pipe (midpipe), it is just a perfect straight through pipe with no resonator or anythin.... then any muffler style you like you can put that on.... blitz nur spec is probably a good power one.

Thanks guys. I'll keep on researching cause I have probably a month or two before I get one so if anyone else wants to throw their .02, go ahead. I'll take all the opinions I can get.
Oh and where is the best places to buy?

Axle backs are fine. Sometimes, a catback can be nice if you can get it used or on sale. But as stated earlier, if you find a half-decent exhaust shop around you, they can make a nice mid-pipe for a lot less than most places charge for their mid-pipes. Also, you can get a resonator or anything else you want put in, to adjust the sound/volume.

It's up to you.
