I am heading down early friday and should be there at least till sat. night. There are 4 of us going. Our plan is to leave early and drive down the coast. Its out of the way but sounds like alot fun. Once we decide what time exactly we are leaving I will post it for anyone that wants to follow us down from Bellingham.

Clark Marq I would be glad to let you know when we will swing by there. I have to talk to the rest of the group but right now it looks like we will be leaving Bellingham around 6:30am. I would imagine that will put us in Tacoma around 8am or so. Anything right off the freeway should work for meeting up. Otherwise I am afraid I don't know Tacoma too well.

Anyone know if there are going to be any organizational improvements this year? I know that most (all) of the people who work the rally are volunteers, but the past 2 years the rally has been VERY disorganized. 2003 was understandable given the circumstances, but last year had no excuse (that I am aware of). I actually saw a spectator who got his foot ran over and broken by a car hit-and-run on the parking road, and when he and his friends told the marshalls, they refused to help him or call for emergency services. Simply amazing. I'm still debating whether or not I will go this year after that. Every rally running 3 and 4 hours late doesn't help either.

It should be a great rally on every level this year. New sanctioning body (rally-america), very impressive entry list in all classes, lots of sweet hardware (more wrx's and Stis than ever), and some great competition. Sorry for the misfortune in '03/'04..but please, please, don't dis the volunteers, they help make it all happen..

If you are not up for heading out into the woods (which is the most fun), then check out the stages at PIR on Friday night.

See you there in car #294 Legacy Turbo..

Rally On!

I hope you guys have some good luck this year Sucks what happend to you guys last year! I will be down there again this year " spectation not driveing " The friday stages should be even better then last year! If you want rally to grow in the US - everyone should be there to help cheer everyone on. This is the first year that Rally is not a club, but run like a business

WRXmaster,
Thanks for the well wishes. Think we've stomped all of the bugs into submission on the Leggy after our early season "issues". Now if I could just get it back from the tranny shop.. Glad we'll have time to even work on our car, as we've been busy prepping a client's Open GC8 that will be debuting at OT.

Come by and say "Hi" if you can.. JK will be heading up the crew. Sounds like you guys had a helluva fiesta in Mexico..

See ya Friday.

hotel information

There is a spectator adf file on the main website..... I would recomend staying at the Redlion Inn "most of the rally teams stay there"

I'll be there for sure, shootin' away as always with the camera. Outback2.5HO, if I get off of work early enough, I'll swing by your way and see how the car(s) are doing and give you a good ole "wazzzup." Might need your help with passes again this year . I got a response from the Oregon Trail rep who told me to contact Rally America, which I did today (Tuesday). We'll see what they say tomorrow.

Hope to see some of you there.

I missed last year but my wife was pregant and super sick. I am hoping to go this year but it depends on the wife-o-meter. I will be for sure going to PIR tonight to see what that's all about. Should be fun and seems new from previous years but I missed last year so don't know.

Hope to see some of you guys there!

Love to all rally fans on this board. I just missed WRC Italia in Sardinia by a week! Couldn't afford to stay in Italy until then (Euro is kicking our boohaha). Planning on attending some part of Oregon Rally this weekend. Last year's Super Special PIR event was definitely worth attending. Lovell/Freeman's 03 tragedy is still fresh in my mind, but gotta keep on the horse. Take advantage of this, everybody go!
