Default Pine Barrens Trail Ride

Ok folks, I'm grabbing the bull by the horns on this one. I'm gonna organize the first SIA Pine Barrens Trail Ride!

Date: Sept 15th
Place: Pine Barrens Area of NJ
Event: Trail Ride, picnic lunch, Trail Ride, Dinner
Who: Subarus and Isuzus from all over.
Rating: Stock Foresters, Outbacks, Outback Sports, Axioms, Troopers, Rodeos, Amigos, VXs, Heck even Legacies if you are adventurous, and Imprezas.

Basically it's gonna be a relatively easy trail ride, if there are any major obstacles, we'll make sure there is a by-pass available. I'm gonna pre-run the trails the weekend before just to verify that they are not too hard. Items to bring?

Tow strap (not with metal hooks, just a strap)
Water for Drinking
CB Radio and/or FRS (We'll be using the CB band, but hopefully someone will bring FRSs so we can co-broadcast)

I'll try to get more details together, along with "other stuff to do in the area" for those who have families that aren't up for the trail ride. We can also arrange for people who don't want to take their cars on the trail to ride along with others as well.

Any other info suggestions etc. let me know, I'm open to a lot of stuff.

-mike

Thumbs up

I should be able to make it AFAIK.

treekiller, A 400hp Open classer ?
That rocks! You can give rides for $5 to raise money.
Provided, of course, waivers are signed and laws are obeyed.

So are we going to Dillsburg on sat?

--Roy

PS... oh yeah, I'll come. Jeff, you can come with me if you want. You are not driving, though. I like my bumper the way it is.

Question tow strap recommendation?

mike, I don't have any tow straps. Could you recommend a brand, where to buy, and approximate cost?

And no, don't take my question as a confirmation that I'll attend; I need to convince my better half.

Mike Smi: Don't worry about a strap, if you already had one, bring it, otherwise I'm sure they'll be enough to go around.

Where: No details yet. I'm doing a pre-run on the 8th or 9th of sept., most likely we'll head out of attison(sp?) and scout out a bunch of places with my GPS.

Yep, I'm going the weeke before for a full day, so every trail we take, I will have already been on, and know the condition, and where it ends up, etc. Just trying to make it as fun as possible, since I know a lot of people are travelling (espcially from the edmunds group) as far as MD for this.

Mike, let me know about the pre-run that sounds like fun. Which vehicle are you taking?XT6? Sounds like this will be a bigger turnout than last time. I want to see treekillers Sillyca. He gave me a great ride last time, and it was only the second day he had it. Knowing you mike even the pre-run will be a blast.
